The Chair’s main objective is to reinforce the University of Girona’s institutional commitment to gender equality, in line with the Second Equality Plan (2021-2025).The intention is to consolidate a stable framework of collaboration with public and private administrations and entities to promote the transfer of gender-sensitive knowledge, as well as to encourage research and training in women's studies, contributing to the construction of a university culture based on equality and democratic values.

Moreover, the Chair aims to become a reference point for dialogue and the generation of projects that promote inclusion and a gender perspective in all social, cultural and academic spheres.Through outreach activities, applied research and cooperation with the local community, the aim is to enhance awareness and social impact, ensuring that university knowledge contributes to progress and social cohesion from a feminist and transformative perspective.
