Ingrid Guardiola has a PhD in Humanities from the Pompeu Fabra University. She is an essayist, audiovisual director and cultural researcher. Her work investigates the sociocultural relationships established between culture, technology and society and affects issues such as inequality or gender. He works from the literary, audiovisual and exhibition essay on the challenges of today's society, placing emphasis on the notion of “ecosystems” and questioning historical modernity.
Since 2025 he is a Lecturer teacher at the University of Girona, where she worked as an associated teacher since 2009. She has been a guest professor at Catalan universities and professional schools such as the UdG, the UPF, the UAB, the UB, the URV, the UV or the UIC, and at the national level such as the Cineskola in Donosti, the University of Seville, the UPV /EHU of Bilbao or international such as the UNAM of Mexico and the UDP of Chile. She has given lectures at art centers such as the CCCB (Barcelona), the MNCARS (Madrid), the IVAM (Valencia), Matadero (Madrid), Tabakalera (Donosti) or La Térmica (Málaga), among others, as well as at fairs such as the Frankfurt Book Fair or the Buenos Aires Book Fair and national conferences and seminars. She participates in research groups at the UdG such as AMARILLO, on “the cinema of origins”, and has been in international non-university research groups such as the “Ageing democracies” projects (Open Society Foundation, CCCB) or (Un)common spaces (coordinated by Lieux Publics).
In 2018 she published his first essay, “L’ull i la navalla: un assaig sobre el món com a interfície” (Serra d’Oro Criticism Award for essay, third edition). In 2019 she published his Spanish version “El ojo y la navaja: un ensayo sobre el mundo como interfaz. She has also published his second essay written with Marta Segarra: “Fils, an essay about confinement, surveillance and abnormality” (Arcadia, 2020). In 2025 she has published “The servitude of Protocols” (Arcadia) and the Italian edition of “L'ull y la navalla” by Il Saggiatore.

He has created audiovisual content with the projects “The little-known dimension: Pioneers of cinema/ La dimensió poc coneguda: pioneres del cinema” (2014), with the project “Soy Cámara” (2015-2020), with the exhibition “Ágora-Cemento-Código” by Tabakalera Donosti with the piece audiovisual “Capitalocene animated / Capitaloceno animado” (2021) and in 2017 he released his first feature-length documentary, “Casa de ningú/ Casa de Nadie / Nobody’s Home” (Boogaloo Films, Open Society Foundations, CCCB).
At the level of public policies and institutional positions, from 2021 to 2025 she has been the director and manager of Bòlit, the contemporary art center in Girona. He has been part of the executive committee of the Culture Council of Barcelona City Council (2016-2021), the Advisory Council of the Teatre Lliure (2019-2021), the Board of Trustees of Hangar (2020-2021) and the governing council of the Auditorium of Barcelona (2015-2016).
In cultural management and production, he has created content and coordinated projects at the CCCB from 2002 to 2020, such as Soy Cámara (2015-2020), BCNmp7 (2013-2015), Gandules (2009-2011), En Guerra (2003-2004). , NANO (2009), Kosmopolis Alfa Channel (2007-2011), NOW (2007-2008) or Xcèntric (2002). He has coordinated the MINIPUT - Quality Television Exhibition - (2002-2018), the Audiovisual Market of Catalonia (2005-2006) and has directed the PrimaveraPro on Screen in its first edition in 2016.
