Since 2024, I am a lecturer in the Department of Geography at the University of Girona. I have a degree in Geography (University of Barcelona) and in Architecture (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), a Master's degree in Architecture and Historical Heritage (University of Seville-IAPH) and a PhD in Geography, Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona (2018, Extraordinary Award). Before joining the UdG, I was an associate professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Barcelona (2018-2024).My research focuses on the study of socio-spatial inequalities, critical cartography and the development of new cartographic and visual approaches applied to geographical and social research from a critical perspective. I work on the construction of a qualitative and feminist approach to cartographic practices and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), addressing both their theoretical and methodological dimensions. My aim is to deepen the role of maps in the production of geographical and social knowledge, promoting more creative and inclusive visual and digital cartographic practices. In this sense, my work seeks to overcome the limitations of traditional cartographic tools, incorporating relational, intersectional and multiscalar perspectives.I have been a postdoctoral researcher at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya within the Horizon 2020 project ‘Reinventing Democracy in Europe: Youth Doing Politics in Times of Increasing Inequalities’ (2018-2019) and at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in the framework of the INTERMAPS project (Mapping Intersectionality: a conceptual and methodological model for the study of Inequalities and Discriminations), funded through an ERC-Starting Grant- Maria Rodó (2022-2024). In 2021, I carried out a research stay in the Geographie-Cités group (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne). I am a member of the APTA, GRETA, GEHC and GIEST research groups, and I am part of the editorial board of the journal Scripta Nova since 2018.I also have professional experience in the field of urban and regional planning (Jornet-Llop Pastor Arquitectes, Territorio y Ciudad, Ayuntamiento de Carmona). After completing my PhD, I worked as an urban planner-geographer at the Department of Territorial Planning of the Generalitat de Catalunya (2019-2022).
