Dr Jesús Granados Sanchez is currently Lecturer in Social Studies Education and core member of the Education Research Institute (IRE) of the Universitat de Girona. Jesús holds a PhD in Education from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) with a thesis on Education for Sustainability and Teaching Geography. Graduated in Geography (UAB), he also holds a Master in Social Sciences Education (UAB) and a Master in Environmental Education and Communication (ISEMA). Jesús formerly worked as Lecturer in Geography, Environment and Sustainability at the School of Education, University of Glasgow (2014-2016) and also was the Research and Content Coordinator of the Global University Network for Innovation (UPC-UNESCO-UNU) (2011-2013). Previously to that, Jesús was a university teacher in the UAB (2004-2011) and in Universidad de la Rioja (2003). His main fields of research are education for sustainable development, learning and teaching methodologies in geography education, curriculum reorientation, social studies education, higher education institutional change, community-university engagement, post-cosmopolitan citizenship, innovative participatory approaches to learning, the change of social structures and the re-conceptualization of personal agency.
