RESEARCH PROJECT The most important research project of the SocMUE- Geriurg working group is to develop the 3D/3D+ tool. Based on the hypothesis that the usual comprehensive geriatric assessment is not applicable in an urgent/emergent situation, this tool was born. The objective is to facilitate the multidimensional assessment of the elderly patient in an urgent and emergent situation. After the publications regarding the tool, at the present time, several hospitals of different levels of complexity are using it with very good results, which implies a real improvement in the care of older patients in urgent and emergent situations.
