I did my PhD research at CREAF, studying how plant and soil interactions affect soil respiration and organic matter turnover. As a postdoctoral researcher, I expanded my line of research to other greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4 and N2O), with a particular interest on the role of trees exchanging methane with the atmosphere. I performed my research at the University of Antwerp (BE) (2013; predoctoral stay), the University of Delaware (USA) (2016-2019; postdoctoral researcher), and the University of Birmingham (UK) (2019-2021; postdoctoral researcher). In 2021 I re-joined the CREAF as a research fellow, and since 2022, started as an Associate Professor at the Universitat de Girona. If you are intesrested in forest ecology, terrestrial biogeochemical cycles or greenhouse gas emissions, drop me a line.
