The Catalonia Institute of Construction Technology Foundation – ITeC

The Catalonia Institute of Construction Technology Foundation – ITeC is a private non-profit foundation set up in 1978 and carrying out research, design and technological product development and services for the construction sector. Its area of work is the construction sector and its aim is to improve efficiency throughout the lifecycle through the generation and transfer of knowledge in the whole chain of values in this sector.

As part of its range of products and services, the department offers students on the Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology and Building Construction and the Bachelor's degree in Architectural Studies the following:

  • The BEDEC databases. BEDEC is an online database that helps users work on any stage in the lifecycle of a construction project.
  • TCQ and TCQi management software. TCQ is a management programme that allows users to work on the entire lifecycle of a construction project.

Rib Presto

RIB Spain is a Spanish company dedicated to the development and commercialisation of Presto, the management programme for cost and time geared towards BIM. Presto is a comprehensive programme for managing the time and cost of construction in all the stages of the process and for all stakeholders, based on the reuse of information from price tables and budgets and the exploitation of CAD and BIM information.

Every year the company gives Presto licences to students on the Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology and Building Construction and the Bachelor's degree in Architectural Studies to carry out practical placements in different subjects in the sphere of management.

Technical Architects’ Association of Girona

Girona COAT (Technical Architects’ Association of Girona) is a professional association that works for the interests of the Technical Architect profession, defends its members and aims to keep professional activity in line with the interests of the public.

The association offers various resources to students on the Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology and Building Construction (in particular the Girona price bank), as well as access to training at the same price as its members, plus other activities linked with the profession.
