Teaching is concentrated in the faculties and schools, and the departments deal with research, which is also conducted by institutes and chairs, at the same time responsible for knowledge promotion.
PTGAS work a 35-hour week.
Every year the University of Girona approves the working calendar for the PTGAS, establishing the public holidays and working days, times when the centre is closed and flexible working hours according to the timetables assigned, plus other aspects that affect working hours.
The established working hours can be split days, mornings, afternoons or weekends and public holidays, according to the hours determined for the position to be held.

The fulfilment of the working day and work hours is controlled via the timetable management app.
To access the timetable management app users should go o La + meva → → personal procedures → control of hours → manage hours.
You will also find the manual for managing hours, which explains how this tool works and how different situations should be reflected, as well as information of interest such as information notes, FAQs on clocking in and clocking out etc.

In La + meva you will also find a section of administrative procedures of a personal nature, an application enabling you to request time off, unpaid leave, reduced hours and licences, and also to communicate or make other requests relating to personal circumstances.

In the staff section of La meva UdG, you will find Info PTGAS, where information of interest to staff is published, such as regulations, internal job pools, temporary job vacancies for UdG staff, information about remuneration and teleworking, among other questions.

The University of Girona, under the framework agreement For Catalan public universities on working from home, regulates the provision of services in the teleworking category.The PTGAS at the UdG, providing a series of requisites are fulfilled, have suitable training to do so, have worked for the university for at least a year and hold a position compatible with teleworking, among other things.As a general rule staff can work from home a maximum of two days a week.
