Biography
As a lecturer in the Department of Geography and a researcher at the Institute of the Environment, he has extensive experience in university management, research, and international cooperation, always focusing on the territory and the major environmental and social challenges of our time.In terms of teaching, he teaches subjects in both the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Sciences.
He has been the director of the Institute of the Environment and the director of the Cultural and Natural Heritage Campus, promoting initiatives that connect research with territorial management and sustainability.
His research has focussed on biogeography, natural space management and landscape ecology and has mainly been developed in protected natural areas and their planning and management.He is a member of the Socio-Environmental Change Research and Investigation Group (SAMBI).
Internationalisation has been at the heart of his teaching and research career, as head of Erasmus + projects and promoter of various Erasmus + KA131 - with universities from Finland, Roumania and other European Union countries - and KA171 - with institutions from the Maghreb, the Caucasus and Ukraine.
He is also the coordinator of the Climate and Environmental Change sub-network of the UNIMED Network, representing the UdG, to promote actions and projects in this area amongst the 45 universities that are members of the two shores of the Mediterranean.
