The University of Girona has awarded him this title for his leadership, from the putting down roots in the country and the connection with culture, of a shared and family project that has placed the kitchen of technique and emotions at a first world level; because it has contributed to giving social prestige to the studies of the hotel business in Catalonia, in the best European tradition of a high quality professional education; because with a constant effort of renewal and excellence not only has he been a privileged ambassador of the Girona lands, but with his brothers he has coordinated the human team of the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, an example of continuity, loyalty to the origins and of international projection, in accordance with the agreement of the Governing Council of the University of Girona, in the 7/10 session of 30 September 2010, at the proposal of the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Girona.
