INFORMATION ABOUT ACADEMIC CREDIT VALIDATION

Recognised academic credit transfers will be awarded for taking part in EU-subsidised international volunteer programmes.

  • A stay lasting between 1 week and one month is equivalent to 2 academic recognition credits.
  • A stay of 1 to 3 months is equivalent to 4 academic recognition credits.
  • A stay of more than 3 months is equivalent to 6 academic recognition credits.

*Dual bachelor's degree students should check whether they can obtain academic recognition credits, by contacting the secretary’s office at their Faculty/School.

To gain recognition for the credits, you will need to submit a report detailing the activities carried out within a month after finishing the voluntary work.Additionally, you will be required to show your Youthpass (certificate of competences) issued by the programme’s coordinating body.

Remember that participation in one of the International Voluntary Work Projects subsidised by the European Union counts as one of the three activities needed to obtain the “International Competence Recognition” (RECI).
