The University of Girona (UdG) Alumnuses Awards are intendedrecogniseandassessing the impact of UdG graduatesin different areas such as professional, research and knowledge, and social spheres, as well as strengthening the link with the institution and promoting a sense of belonging at the UdG.

The goal of the awards is to promote the values of social transformation, innovation and ethics, and to recognise Alumni who have excelled in their professional progress and contributed to society and to the prestige of the university.

Requisites and registration

Requirements:

  • Being UdG Alumni: candidates have to meet the requirements set out in article 3 of the Alumni regulations  and must be registered on the Alumni programme.If you have graduated and are not yet Alumni, register with the UdG Alumni form.
  • Experience: minimum social or professional trajectory is needed of at least 3 years after finalising studies.This requirement must be met when submitting the bid.
  • Not being a full-time public-sector employee at the UdG at the time of application.
  • Having finished their studies before or no later than June 2022.

Awards ceremony 4 June 2026, 5 pm, Sala de Graus Pep Nadal, Edifici Sant Domènec, Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Tourism, University of Girona.

Awards categories

The awards are given in the following categories, according to the contribution and the trajectory of candidate:

  • Alumnuses Prise for your professional career:aimed at distinguishing former and former students who have achieved significant success in their professional career, reflecting the UdG estudiants s values and contributing to their prestige in the professional field.
  • Alumnuses Award for entrepreneurship:aimed at distinguishing leadership and participation in entrepreneurial projects, innovation, as well as the results obtained; entrepreneurial initiative, the impact on society, and, if necessary, on the business fabric, of former and former students.-
  • Alumnuses Award for Social Commitment and Sustainability:to recognise former and former students who, through their work in projects or organisations, have made notable contributions in social responsibility, inclusion, sustainability, social activities, co-operation, volunteering and community improvement.
  • Alumni Research and Investigation Award:to highlight former students who have excelled in the field of research and have made significant contributions to the advancement of knowledge in their area of expertise.
  • Alumnuses Award for contribution with the UdG:aimed at recognising and highlighting former students who have stood out for their collaboration with the University of Girona, contributing value in areas such as teaching, research, dissemination of knowledge, support for the university community and the promotion of institutional relations.

Recognition award winners

  • Award: the finalist in each category will receive an award of recognition as Outstanding University of Girona Alumni and an honorary recognition giving them the right to decide on the use of 500 euros, which will be transferred directly from the university to an entity with a collaboration agreement with the University of Girona for carrying out solidarity and cooperation activities.Contributions can also be made to the funding project by the university’s Board of Trustees. 
  • Dissemination: award winners will be featured on the UdG website and official communication channels, including the social media of the Social Commitment and Professional Guidance Unit.
  • Awards ceremony: a public awards ceremony will be held where the winners will be able to give a brief explanation of their experience and trajectory.The event will be held in the Sala de Graus Pep Nadal and Claustre de Sant Domènec at the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Tourism on 4 June.
