Bachelor's degree in Biology (2007), Master's degree in Basic and Applied Neurosciences (2012) and PhD in Neurosciences (2017) in the University of Valencia (UV). During her doctoral studies, she conducted research in the laboratories of prof. Juan Nácher (Neurobiology Unit of the Institute of Biotechnology and Biomedicine, UV) and in the laboratory of prof. Alicia Salvador (Social Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory, UV), where she studied the influence of cannabis use and environmental enrichment during adolescence on the modulation of neural plasticity, particularly on inhibitory circuits. She completed this period with a research stay at the Behavioural Genetics Laboratory, directed by prof. Carmen Sandi, at the Brain Mind Institute (BMI-EPFL, Switzerland), with an In Europe Short Stays grant from the International Brain Research Organisation (IBRO).
After obtaining her PhD, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Neuropsychopharmacology and Psychobiology (CTS510), directed by Prof. Esther Berrocoso Domínguez at the University of Cádiz (UCA), and at the Laboratory of Neuropathology and Brain Plasticity (NESTlab), directed by Prof. Esther Castillo Gómez at the University of Jaume I (UJI); during this period, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in prof. Marc Landry's laboratory at the Broca Centre (Bordeaux Neurocampus, University of Bordeaux, UBx), funded by a Horizon-Marie Slodowska-Curie action (H-MSCA).
Her research has focused primarily on understanding how different types of stressors, applied at different stages of development, can modulate brain plasticity.
In July 2025, she joined the Area of Anatomy and Embryology at the University of Girona (UdG) as a lecturer, where she also belongs to the Clinical Anatomy, Embryology and Neuroscience Research Group (NEOMA).
