Biography

As a Computer Engineer from the University of Girona and with a PhD in Computer Science from the School of Information Systems at the University of East Anglia, he is a senior lecturer in the Department of Computer Architecture and Technology (ACT).He teaches the Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and the master's degrees in Medical Image Computing (MIC) and the joint master’s in Health Data Science. 

A member of the Institute of Computer Vision and Robotics Research (VICOROB) and the SGR Advanced Image Analysis (AIA) research group, his research focuses on computer vision, AI applied to medical image analysis, pattern recognition, and computer-assisted diagnosis (CAD). 

In academic management, he has been the coordinator of the Erasmus Mundus VIBOT (Computer Vision and Robotics) master's degree, deputy rector for master's degrees, and Vice-Rectorate for Strategic Projects and Internationalisation.
