Biography

She holds a degree in Economic and Business Sciences from Pompeu Fabra University and a master's degree in International Trade and Finance from the University of Barcelona, as well as an IESE Business School Management Development Programme from the University of Navarra.  

She has worked at the Girona Biomedical Research Institute (IdIBGI), where she has been the finance director and, in the last twelve years, the General Manager. At the head of the IdiBGI, she has been responsible for developing people policies. Amongst others, she has promoted the Equality Plan, the seal of excellence in human resources strategy, the Diversity and LGBTI Plan, as well as the Protocol for Preventing and Dealing with Harassment, and the promotion of inclusive training or women’s leadership, amongst others.She has also created the Department of Mechanism, implementing the culture of quality and regulatory compliance, amongst others.  

With Anna Ribas as General Manager, the IDIBGI has received several awards, including the ‘Girona Creant Futur’ award, in the category of social innovation and shared responsibility for its human resources policy with an inclusive vision, centred on people as a key value. It has also received the European seal of Excellence in the Human Resources Strategy, which it achieved for the first time in 2015 and which has been renewed periodically.  

She stands out for her values and commitment to ethics and integration, continuous improvement, teamwork and active listening and support for people.
