Gender Equality

UdG protocol against the gender violence and LGBTIQ+phobia

Approved on 16 December 2024

The objectives of this protocol are first to prevent violence and harassment for reasons of sex, gender or sexuality among the members of the university community, and second to establish an action procedure to detect situations of violence and harassment, investigate them, propose actions to resolve them (directed at both care for victims and actions aimed at the presumed harassers and the environment) and, where necessary, to open disciplinary procedures.

On 16 December 2024, the new University of Girona protocol for the prevention, protection, care and reparation relating to gender-based violence, sexual harassment or any other form of violence or harassment based on sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression was approved. You can find it on this page.

Campaign #PROU

At the UCSOP we promoted an awareness campaign against sexist violence, tackling several forms of aggression such as unwanted touching, harassment at work, abuse of power and cyberbullying. The campaign uses different formats. We have created illustrative capsules, we have designed tablecloths for the bars at the University of Girona, and we have also prepared a travelling exhibition that will make its way around all the faculties of the university. With these actions, we want to introduce the UdG protocol against harassment and to foster collective reflection to generate a safer and more respectful environment for everybody.

In the face of gender violence towards women we say STOP #PROU.
