1. Introduction with a retrospective of historical cinematographic examples to analyse general concepts, editing functions and creative processes. 2. Filming-editing relationship, basic rules of editing, editing rhythm, editing practice, cinematographic artistic concepts, sound artistic concepts in editing. 3. Introduction to Professional Video Editing Software: interface, project settings, importing media, editing clips, editing projects, basic sound correction, creating titles, overlay and composition, animating a clip and exporting project.

The student final grade must be minimum a "5" in order to pass. Specific criteria for the "No show" grade: If the total sum of the submitted works is less than the 25% is considered NO PRESENTAT" (Absent) and consequently the student won't be able to pass. Attendance of less than 30% is considered NO PRESENTAT" (Absent) and consequently the student won't be able to pass. All the tasks and projects should meet the deadlines in order to attend to the EXAM - to avoid "NO PRESENTAT" (Absent) and consequently the student won't be able to pass (unless under special circumstances). Single Assessment: Single Evaluation Submission of the final work and performance of the practical and theoretical exam. Minimum requirements to pass: The student should obtain a grade "5" or above to pass the course.
