This BIP aims to explore the social dynamics of coastal communities in the face ofclimate change, fostering an interdisciplinary approach that

integrates sociology, anthropology, tourism studies, and environmental sciences. Through en combinationof on-site and remote activities,

participantes will engage with key themes such asbeach erosion, the management of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), the role of ecomuseums

and artists in environmental awareness, citizen science engagement, and the preservation of maritime culture.

The primary goal of the Summer School is to engage younger generations, future researchers and professionals, in discussions on the

biodiversity and sustainability of natural river systems, through the analysis of a unique and still intact system in the Alps. The second

important objective is the exchange of knowledge and expertise between students and teachers, to develop a common understanding of the

biodiversity and sustainability of river systems and to promote citizen awareness of the sustainability of environmental management of these

fragile and threatened environments.
