She holds a doctorate in Business Administration and Management from the University of Girona (2009) with the thesis entitled "The formation of the induced tourist image: the role of relational networks", for which she received the Extraordinary Award for Doctorate in 2011. He graduated in Tourism at the University of Girona (2002), and obtained the Maîtrise in Engineering and Commercialization des Produits Touristiques at the University of Toulouse - le Mirail (2004). She is Associate pPofessor at the Faculty of Tourism, in the Department of Organization, Business Management and Product Design at the University of Girona; where she teaches various subjects at both Graduate and Postgraduate level. In particular she teaches at the Degree in Tourism and the Master in Tourism Management and Planning, the Master in Cultural Tourism and the European Master in Tourism Management. She is also a Collaborating Professor at the UOC, teaching the subject Research Methods in Tourism in the Interuniversity Master in Sustainable Tourism and ICT; and Visiting Professor in different European university centers. She is currently co-director of the Organizational Networks and Innovation in Tourism Research Group (ONIT), secretary of the Tourism Research Institute (INSETUR), vicepresident of the Association Française de Management du Tourisme (AFMAT) and secretary of the Red Universitaria de Posgrados en Turismo (REDINTUR). Her research interests focus on tourism image, branding and destination management, as well as on the behavior of the tourist consumer, the use of information sources and the risk perception. Her research has resulted in over sixty publications, including academic articles and book chapters. Her publications can be found in numerous international journals included in the JCR and SCOPUS such as Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism Management, Current Issues in Tourism, among others. She is also a reviewer for several prestigious international journals.
