TEMÀTICA / THEME
La mobilitat de persones, béns, tècniques i idees ha estat un element clau en la construcció de les societats al llarg de tota la història.
El desplaçament de grans grups poblacionals o de persones concretes han provocat canvis a tots nivells en els territoris i les societats amb qui interactuen. A la mobilitat de persones cal afegir-hi la dels béns, tècniques o idees que arriben per diferents vies. Tots ells són elements que configuren la societat i que deixen una petja arqueològica.
El fruit d’aquesta interacció entre elements forans i locals és l’objecte principal d’aquest seminari. Es valoraran propostes que permetin aprofundir en el coneixement que, des de l’arqueologia es pot adquirir d’aquesta temàtica.
El comerç, l’intercanvi de béns, la circulació monetària, però també l’intercanvi d’idees culturals i cultuals així com la influència, assimilació i evolució de tècniques foranes són alguns dels temes que esperem que surtin a debat. El marc cronològic del seminari és ampli, des d’època tardo-antiga fins a època baix-medieval, ja que cal considerar que molts canvis no son processos bruscos sinó de llarg abast en el temps.
D’aquesta manera, alguns dels temes principals del seminari seran els següents:
-Comerç i economia: productes, rutes i mitjans, circulació monetària, estudis de cultura material
-Societat: presència de nous grups poblacionals i la seva petja (materials, urbanisme, arquitectura, antropologia)
-Religió i món funerari: presència d’elements forans dins una societat i la seva influència
El seminari pretén oferir una visió el més àmplia possible de les novetats que l’arqueologia ha aportat als darrers anys sobre aquests aspectes. Per això es poden presentar comunicacions o pòsters sobre temàtiques molt diverses des d’un punt de vista pluridisciplinar, però sempre amb una mirada arqueològica que pot anar dels macroanàlisis territorials als estudis de casos més puntuals o estudis de materials diversos. El seminari té per objectiu oferir la possibilitat als grups de recerca i investigadors que treballen en el marc d’aquest extens període des d’una vessant arqueològica de presentar els resultats dels seus treballs i, sobretot, crear un marc de trobada i debat que enriqueixi l’intercanvi d’idees i propostes.
The mobility of people, goods, techniques and ideas has been a key element in the construction of societies throughout history.
The movement of large population groups or specific individuals has caused changes at all levels in the territories and societies with which they interact. In addition to the mobility of people, we must also consider the movement of goods, techniques, or ideas that arrive through various channels. All of these are elements that shape society and leave an archaeological mark.
The fruit of this interaction between foreign and local elements is the main subject of this seminar. Papers will be valued if they provide proposals that allow us to deepen the knowledge that can be acquired from archaeology on this subject.
Trade, the exchange of goods, monetary circulation, but also the exchange of cultural and cultic ideas, as well as the influence, assimilation and evolution of foreign techniques are some of the topics that we hope will be discussed. The chronological framework of the seminar is broad, ranging from the Late Antiquity to the late Middle Ages, since many changes are not sudden processes, but rather long-lasting processes over a long period of time.
Thus, some of the main themes of the congress will be the following:
-Trade and economy: products, routes and means, monetary circulation, studies of material culture.
-Society: presence of new population groups and their footprint (materials, urban planning, architecture, anthropology).
-Religion and funerary world: presence of foreign elements in a society and their influence.
The seminar aims to offer as broad a view as possible of the new developments that archaeology has contributed on these aspects in recent years. Papers or posters can be presented on diverse topics, from a multidisciplinary point of view that always includes an archaeological perspective. The papers can range from territorial macro-analyses to more specific case studies or studies of materials. The aim of the seminar is to offer research groups and researchers working within the framework of this extensive period from an archaeological perspective the opportunity to present the results of their work and, above all, to create a space for meeting and debate that will enrich the exchange of ideas and proposals.
