Research interests:
My research has been focused on the use of hydrochemical, isotopic, as well as potentiometric data, to analyze water resources availability and dynamics under human pressures. This type of analysis has not only been applied at a regional scale (for example, at a watershed scale); but also to study surface water- groundwater interactions in a stream reach or in a lagoon hydrogeological system. In addition, the study of pollutant occurrence, dynamics and reactions (such as natural attenuation), has complemented the previous research, together with the use of ecological indicators.
