Seeking coatings/materials to alter the wetting features of surfaces Cerca de materials per alterar les característiques del contacte de l'aigua amb una superfície. 24 de maig 2019
We are interested in depositing a coating/primer/material on a soft/flexible surface (ideally the surface is a biological surface) in order to generate non conventional wetting behavior. The coating will impart to the surface one of the following effects: superhydrophobicity, superamphiphobicity or superamphiphilicity. The material composing the matrix of the coating will not be solubilized by water or oils (a small degree of swellability upon water or oil absorption, could be accepted) and will have good adhesion to the surface. The materials should leave a transparent/colorless and elastic/flexible and ideally non-occlusive coating. Details of the Technology Call The surface that we would like to coat has a surface free energy of around 30-35 mN/m. The surface is mainly apolar (dispersive component) with only small polar part (2 to 5mN/m). Finally the surface is rich in free amines and carboxylic groups which could be used to strongly attached the coating. Therefore we are seeking for materials which could be deposit on the skin and which could generate those different characteristics cited above. MUST:The material will be used on biological surface thereofer are needed:- MSDSNICE TO HAVE:-Toxicology, genotoxicity, ecotoxicity and degradability data for the proposed compounds shoud be available- Experimental data on surface energy modification and wettability studies- Instruction on application- Sample Technical Requirements If the proposed technology will include an in-situ reaction on the considered surface, any reaction mechanisms which include radicals generation needs to be excluded (safety reasons). Residual precursors species are also critical for toxicological reason, therefore they should be almost absente at conclusion of the reaction process, or the used precursors will need to be not harmful and ideally not penetrate within the surface (potentially the surface is partially permeable, molecules ideally have a molecular weight > 500Da).The reaction process will have happen at low tempearture and without the use of harmful solvents. Finally the proposed process will need to be completed in a pH range between 4 and 9. Deadline 9/8/2019
