After graduating in Biology from the University of Girona, I joined the zoology department of Aspro Ocio S.A. as an educator, primarily working with bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and species associated with aquatic ecosystems, both Mediterranean and exotic. Subsequently, I pursued a Master's in Cell Biology and Biomedicine at the University of Girona, during which I conducted my final thesis focusing on the genomic size of pleuronectiformes (flatfish), initiating my collaboration with the Laboratory of Genetic Ichthyology. Currently, I am in the process of completing my doctoral thesis on the molecular characterization of Squalius laietanus populations in Catalan river basins. I have contributed to various population studies of marine species, including the genera Thunnus, Auxis and Gymnammodytes. Since the 2015-2016 academic year, I have served as an associate professor in the field of genetics.
