Brief CV

Raquel Font-Lladó is BSc in Sport Science. Ph.D. in Pedagogy. Lecture Professor of Motor development and Didactics of Physical Education at the University School of Health and Sport (EUSES), University of Girona, Spain. In 2011 she founded the PHAS Research- Physical Activity and Sport Research (GRAD0001), a research group in EUSES that she has led for 3 years.  Nowadays she is a researcher of Culture, Education, and Human Development at Institut de Recerca Educativa at UdG. Her recent research is focused on child development and includes topics such as integrated neuromuscular training, physical education, motor development, physical activity, and emotions in children. She has published some papers in JCR, participated in international congresses, written books about didactics and physical education, lectured on coaching courses (orienteering), and also supervised training internships. She has designed and developed training programs to improve youth motor competence in school, sports (basketball and orienteering), and social contexts.

  • Coached young and elite senior orienteering athletes. Since 2012.
