Nela Filimon is Associate Professor Serra Húnter Fellow and joined the Department of Business in 2019. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and MS in Economics and Business from Pompeu Fabra University. Her current research interests are related to consumer research and marketing, cultural markets, digital consumption, social media, wellbeing and ICTs, sociology of consumption and quantitative research methods. Her research was published in international journals such as Social Science Computer Review, Journal of Cultural Economics, Poetics, Advances in Sociology Research, Sociological Review, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, Regional Science Inquiry, International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management and in books like European consumers in the digital era. Implications of technology, media and culture on consumer behavior (Routledge, co-editor), among others. In 2017 she has obtained the Literati Outstanding Reviewer Award (Emerald Publishing) for Arts and the Market journal.
