He is Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Girona. Degree in Geography, PhD in Geography, Territorial Planning and Environmental Management at the Environmental Institute of the University of Girona (2005). He has completed pre- and post-doctoral stays at the University of Durham, UK, Instituto Universitario de Architettura di Venezia, IT, Politecnico di Torino, IT, University of Amsterdam, NDL.
It is part of the research group Territorial and Environmental Analysis and Planning (APTA). He has developed postdoctoral research in: the impact of the TAV in European intermediate cities, the analysis of cross-border cooperation, analysis of social mobilization, local development and governance, low-carbon societies; teaching innovation in Geography. In the subjects he teaches topics related to economic geography, transport geography and urban tourism. He has also taught Cartography and Geographical Information Systems and has produced works of cartography and geographic dissemination such as the Regional Atlases of the counties of Girona (Institute Cartogràfic de Catalunya).
He has been part of the Board of the Catalan Society of Geography (2011-2015), he has been director of the Department of Geography (2014-2017), delegate of the rector for Territory and Sustainability (2018-2021). From 2024 he is director of the Department of Geography and Territorial Thought at the University of Girona.
