Adjunct Professor at the University of Girona (Spain) and researcher at the Institute of Aquatic Ecology since 2002. I have an extended research experience, with three 6-year research periods positively evaluated by the Spanish Ministry of Research and Education. I’m member of the GRECO, an inter-disciplinary Aquatic Ecology Research Group. My main expertise is fluvial ecology and ecotoxicology, focused on the ecological effects of chemicals at different levels of biological complexity (from biomarkers to ecosystem processes) and scales of study (in micro- mesocosms and field experiments and watershed-scale biomonitoring). I have investigated the ecotoxicity of metals, pesticides and emerging contaminants in aquatic organisms (biofilms, macroinvertebrates and fish) at the University of Girona in collaboration with several national and international research groups.
