She was graduated in Biology (2004) and she obtained her PhD from the University of Girona (2010). She is currently Associate Professor of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Area at the University of Girona and she is member of the Protein Engineering Laboratory at the same university. She did a research stay at the European Cancer Stem Cell Research Institute at Cardiff University (UK) in 2016. Her research is focused mainly on the study of the cytotoxic mechanism of pancreatic ribonucleases and the design, production and characterization of new cytotoxic human pancreatic ribonuclease variants.
