Licenciada en Biología (2004) y doctora por la Universitat de Girona (2010). Actualmente es profesora agregada del área de Bioquímica y Biología Molecular de la UdG y está vinculada al grupo de investigación de Ingeniería de Proteínas de la misma universidad. Durante el año 2016 realizó una estancia de investigación en el European Cancer Stem Cell Research Institute de la Universidad de Cardiff (UK). Su investigación se basa principalmente en el estudio del mecanismo de citotoxicidad de ribonucleasas y en el diseño de nuevas ribonucleasas con actividad antitumoral.
