AIMS OF THE SUBJECT

The course aims at presenting the main tourism models in urban areas regarding planning of monumental towns, cultural equipments, business and convention tourism, and events and theme spaces. It also aims at giving the students the main tools needed in order to study, analyse and implement tourism management in urban areas.

COURSE COMPETENCES

Students will be able to understand the concepts and models of tourism development and management in urban areas.

Students will be able to analyse and diagnose the needs a urban area has for tourism development.

Students will be able to design a tourism development and management plan for an urban area in accordance with the diagnosis made and the needs it has.
