3. Type of Diseases: Chronic and Acute; Systemic and Localized Diseases, General Pathology - Cell adaptation (Hypertrophy,Atrophy,Hyperplasia,Metaplasia,Dysplasia, Neoplasia)-Inflammation (Acute and Chronic).
4. Local Manifestations of Inflammation: Exudates, Ulceration, Abcess - Cell Injury (Reversible and Irreversible), Mechanisms of cell injury, Apoptosis, Necrosis, Tissue Repair, Wound Healing Process, Celular Aging.

Students are expected to attend lectures and seminaries, to participate in class and take the
examinations. There will be 2 exams and one assignment
Class attendance and participation during the
seminaries are also evaluated.
All scores on exam and assignments are based on 100 points. The final grade for each semester will be determined by the following formula.
Class attendance/Class participation during the seminairs 10%
Exam 1 30%
Exam 2 30%
Seminar (oral presentation) 30%
Total 100%
The first exam will consist of 30 to 40 multiple choice questions – the content: the first 4
classes.
The second exam will be about the seminaries – 30 to 40 multiple choice question.
You must have at least 5 in each exam and at least 5 in the assignment to approve the class.
