The course will be graded with the individual reports that will be proposed. The student is asked to write a report including the set up of his/her strategy to solve the problem, the results of the simulation and an assessment of the results bearing in mind the hand calculations that can be done with tables, standards or formulae found in Machine Desing textbooks. It is necessary to deliver all reports in order to pass the course. Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:Those students that do not deliver any report after March 31th will be graded as "No presentat" (NP), which is understood as having abandoned the course.
It is expected that the student will be following (or had followed in a previous academic year) the subjects: - The finite element method in structural mechanics - Pre and post-process tools for structural finite element analyses - Solid mechanics
