Description:
- This subject will focus on the biopsychosocial assessment, treatment and management of sports-related injuries in athletes of all levels and ability, with a particular focus on rehabilitation. Students will learn how to manage sporting injuries from beginning to end. Previous knowledge from earlier in the course is expected to be applied (such as anatomy, biomechanics, assessment, manual therapy, kinesiotherapy etc.) together with exposure to a more in depth and specialist approach to Sports Physiotherapy.

Grading
Must achieve a minimum grade of 50% to pass the subject overall.
An average of 50% or more for the combined total of the theory exams is required to pass.
Nonattendance: Class attendance is compulsory.
Students must attend 80% of class time.
Exceptions will only be made for those students who can certify having been hospitalized on the given day, or due to a relative passing away.
Failure to comply with 80% practical class attendance will require students to sit the Basic Competencies Exam (BCE).
Specific criteria for the "No show" grade:
Student not having taking part in any assessment component in the course, including the BCE, will be considered as 'No Presentat' (NP), and will be given that mark.
Single Assessment:
The evaluation system in EUSES - UdG is based, in general, in the continuous assessment. If the student wishes to take part in the unique pathway, he / she will need to request it in writing to the lecturer of the subject and the degree coordinator during the first two weeks of the Semester.
Students choosing unique evaluation pathway will sit a combined exam covering all the topics covered in the course, during the exam week. The questions will include MCQ, short answer and essay style questions. The students must achieve above 50% in this exam, and above 50% for the subject, to pass.
The Project is compulsory.
Minimum requirements to pass:
A minimum grade of 5.0 (50%) will be required to pass the subject.

The tutorials will be carried out in person in enabled classrooms, and also virtually.
Communication and interaction with students
Communication and interaction with the students will be done in person and virtually throughout the forum of Moodle, video-conferencing means and email.

Remarks
Learning outcomes:
- Identiying the most appropriate physiotherapeutic treatment in the different processes of alteration, sport health prevention and promotion, as well as in the growth and development processes.
- Identifying the situation of the patient/user through a diagnosis of physiotherapy care, planning interventions and effectiveness evaluations in a cooperative work environment with other professionals in health sciences.
- Knowing and applying the guidelines for good clinical practice.
Design Amendment
Amendment of activities:
If Scenario 1 occurs, full class attendance as per timetable.
If Scenario 4 occurs, full virtual teaching applies.
Amendment of the assessment:
Assessment % will stay the same, independent of scenarios.
If Scenario 4 occurs, examination will take place online.
