Activitats d'avaluació: Descripció de l'activitat Avaluació de l'activitat % Recuperable Exercises related to the topics of the course to be solved in class or at home Students, working in small groups, will be asked to solve problem sets in class or at home. These problem sets will be related to the topics of the course. In particular, in these problem sets students will be asked to suggest a retrosynthesis and a synthesis for a given target molecule. The items that will be assessed are: the synthetic strategy suggested, the correction of the reaction conditions and the correction of the structure of all compounds. The mark obtained for each group member will be modulated according to their participation in this group activity. 40 No Exam Analysis and discussion of exercises related to the topics of the course 60 Sí
Grading of the students that decide to follow a continous assessment: Exercises to be solved in class or at home: 40% Exam: 60% The exam is the only activity that can be retaken. Students that want to improve their marks must submit a request to the professor in advance. Performing again the exam means that they renounce to the mark previously obtained. Students must get 5 points in order to pass the subject. However, they must get a minimum mark of 4 out of 10 in the exam in order that the marks obtained in the activities that can not be retaken are considered. (Art. 21.1(UdG). The fraudulent completion of any of the exercises required in the evaluation of a subject (unauthorized use of information; use of false information; use of unauthorized devices; impersonation; total or partial plagiarism; purchase and sale of tests, practices and assignments; etc.) will lead to the failure to pass the subject, regardless of the disciplinary process that may be followed against the offending student.) Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»: The subject is going to be considered as "Not Presented" only if the student has not carried out any grading activity. Avaluació única: According to the UdG regulations, students who decide to take the single assessment must request it within the established deadlines. Upon acceptance, they waive the continuous assessment. Grading of the students that request the single assessment: Exam 100% The exam and the resit exam, if necessary, will be the same as the ones for the continuous assessment students and will be held on the same date. This exam will assess the achievement of the topics in the course. Students must get 5 points in the exam in order to pass the subject. This exam can be retaken. Students with a grade above 5 can improve their marks but they must submit a request to the professor in advance. Performing again the exam means that they renounce to the mark previously obtained. (Art. 21.1(UdG). The fraudulent completion of any of the exercises required in the evaluation of a subject will lead to the failure to pass the subject, regardless of the disciplinary process that may be followed against the offending student.) Requisits mínims per aprovar: Continuous assessment: Students must get 5 points in order to pass the subject. However, they must get a minimum mark of 4 out of 10 in the exam in order that the marks obtained in the activities that can not be retaken are considered. Single assessment: Students must get 5 points in the exam in order to pass the subject.
During the course, students will be encouraged to ask for tutorials with the professor to clarify aspects related to the contents of the subject. These tutorials will be performed in-person or online depending on the way is more convenient for the student.
The communication and interaction with students will be via Moodle, email or the videoconferencing platform designated by the UdG.
