Description:
- The contents of this course aim to describe the main rheumatic diseases from the point of view of physical therapy and an interdisciplinary approach. Being able to recognize the state of health of the patient through an assessment Rheumatology, establish a plan of physiotherapy which cover the objectives initially set and then evaluate the results.
Identify the different types of pain and physical and pharmacological treatments known to try it.
Acquiring knowledge about radiological and other tests used in the diagnosis and monitoring of rheumatic patients.

- Saber treballar en equips professionals com a unitat bàsica en què s'estructuren de forma uni o multidisciplinària i interdisciplinària els professionals i altre personal de les organitzacions assistencials.
- Comunicar-se de manera efectiva i clara, tant de forma oral com escrita, amb els usuaris del sistema sanitari així com amb altres professionals.

Grading
The general assessment of the subject will consist of two different parts: Final Exam & Oral Presentation
Specific criteria for the "No show" grade:
Every student not having attended the continuous evaluation process and the final exam will be considered as "Not Attended".
Single Assessment:
The evaluation system in EUSES - UdG is based, in general, in the continuous assessment. If the student wishes to take part in the unique pathway, he / she will need to request it in writing to the lecturer of the subject and the degree coordinator during the first two weeks of the Semester.
Minimum requirements to pass:
Per considerar superada l’assignatura, caldrà obtenir una qualificació mínima de 5.0
Remarks
Learning outcomes:
- Knowing the most frequent rheumatological diseases, their etiology, physiopathogenesis and symptoms, as well as the fundamental medical-surgical treatments.
- Knowing the type of patient you treat and how you can modify the natural course of the disease.
- Working as a team in rheumatological rehabilitation.
Design Amendment
Amendment of activities:
All the teaching activity from March the 13th will be based on on-line learning, through Moodle mainly.
Amendment of the assessment:
Final exam will consist of 20 multiple choice questions, performed on-line if 'Scenario 5' should be prolonged.
Mentoring and communication:
Mentoring will be kept and provided throughout different online means.
