Bachelor in Tourism Business Administration at the Francisco Gavidia University (El Salvador), obtaining the degree in 2014. In January 2015, she began working as a professor of the Tourism Management and Development degree at the Catholic University of El Salvador (UNICAES), while also serving as secretary and founding member of the Tourism Development Association of Santa Ana, El Salvador. That same year, she received a scholarship from the Carolina Foundation to pursue the Master's Degree in Cultural Tourism at the University of Girona (2015-2016), during which she carried out an internship in the Marketing Department of the Costa Brava Pyrenees of Girona Tourist Board and began her training as a researcher under the lines of tourism marketing, place branding and cultural tourism.
Subsequently, she returned to UNICAES (El Salvador) and worked as professor in the tourism degree, from 2016 to 2023. In addition to teaching, she has also advised more than thirty research, projects and internships for students who graduated from the career in tourism, has participated in academic mobilities of Erasmus+ teaching staff (Oradea, Romania), has participated in national and international research projects, has carried out international collaborations as in Mirrored Classes and COIL projects with universities in Ecuador and Colombia respectively, has published scientific papers with colleagues from UNICAES and the University of Girona, and has also received training in business development and higher teaching. In 2023, she received the accreditation as a Higher Education Teacher by the Ministry of Education of El Salvador.
Since 2021 she has been a member of the Multidisciplinary Tourism Research Laboratory (LMRT) of the University of Girona, collaborating with members of the laboratory on research projects and scientific publications.
Furthermore, in 2023 she was awarded an IF_UdG scholarship to carry out doctoral studies in tourism at the University of Girona. She joins the UdG on January 1st, 2024, as a pre-doctoral researcher in training at the Faculty of Tourism, member of INSETUR and assistant professor in the Department of Geography.
