Pere Soler Masó is a professor in the Department of
Education at the University of Girona and a researcher at the Institute for
Educational Research at the same university. He is co-coordinator of the
research group Liberi - Research on Children, Youth and Community and a
member of the consolidated research group: Children and Youth:
Socio-educational and Community Action. He is the general coordinator of
the Inter-university Master's Degree in Youth and Society, taught by six
public universities. His teaching and research activity has focused mainly on
social pedagogy, youth and socio-educational policies, youth empowerment, child
and youth participation, educational leisure and socio-cultural animation. He
teaches in various bachelor's and master's degree programmes in the field of
social pedagogy and is involved in various teaching innovation projects,
especially through Service-Learning.
He has extensive experience in various competitive
research projects at national, state and European level, as well as research
contracts with public administrations and non-profit associations. His transfer
is accredited by the various specific educational resources, teaching guides,
reports and pedagogical materials he has published.
In the field of management, he has held various
positions of responsibility as director of the Department of Pedagogy, academic
secretary of the Department of Pedagogy, coordinator of the Degree in Social
Education, member of the Academic Committee of the Doctorate Programme in
Education at the University of Girona, member of the Governing Council of the
University of Girona and member of the University Senate of the University of
Girona.
