Avaluació i qualificació

Activitats d'avaluació:

Descripció de l'activitat Avaluació de l'activitat %
Work in class Type of activity classroom work: This activity represents 5% of the FM and it is obtained by performing a group work on a proposed topic during the course. This mark will be calculated based on two components, which are added directly from the work mark and presentation mark. 5
Lab sessions Lab session activity: This activity represents 10% of the FM and it is obtained by the sessions in the manufacturing lab within the scheduled sessions. This mark will be calculated based on three components, which are added directly from the behavior mark in the lab, co-evaluation mark and report mark. 13
Intermediate exam Intermediate exam activity: This activity represents 15% of the FM and it is obtained as follows:
• 50% of theory, made by questions. Neither calculator nor formulary is allowed. Student must get a minimum of 35% of the theory points to pass the exam.
• 50% of problems, made of several exercises. Formulary without personal inscriptions is allowed. Student must get a minimum of 35% of the problems to pass the exam.

There is no option to review this intermediate exam.
0
Final exam Final exam: Final exam mark (FEM) is obtained as follows:
• 50% of theory, made by questions. Neither calculator nor formulary is allowed. Student must get a minimum of 35% of the theory points to pass the exam.
• 50% of problems, made of several exercises. Formulary without personal inscriptions is allowed. Student must get a minimum of 35% of the problems to pass the exam.

Exam review is carried out all together in a class at scheduled date and time. The claims will be processed with written forms.
70
Problem solving Problem solving activity: This activity consists of two sections, compulsory and optional. Compulsory problems are done in the classroom, while optional is developed by students at home and they are utilized to improve the grade for this activity. The mark of all this activity represents 10% of the FM and obtained by the resolution and delivery of class exercises. This mark will be calculated based on three components that are added directly from exercise mark, behavior mark and co-evaluation of cooperative activity mark. 12

Qualificació

The final mark (FM) is calculated considering: the continuous evaluation mark (CEM) and the final exam mark (FEM). Only one final exam will take place on a scheduled date.
• Continuous evaluation mark (CEM) will take 40%
• Final exam (FEM) will take 60%
So the final equation to calculate the FM will be:
• FM = 40% CEM + 60% FEM
However, to calculate the final mark according to the above equation is required to have at least 4 points on 10 in each part.

The activities carried out by continuous assessment, including intermediate exam activity, must be delivered within the period established in the beginning of the course. After this deadline, deliveries will not be accepted. These activities cannot be recovered except for the lab session activities.

In the continuous evaluation activities rubrics will be used and they will be available at the beginning of the course.

Exceptionally, the Final mark (FM) of the course will be calculated considering only the mark of the final exam when the student justifies the specific reasons to the teacher for it. It must be done before September 28th, 2012.

Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
The Non Attended (NA) mark will be provided if the student leaves the continuous evaluation before 5th November 2012 and do not attend the final exam. If continuous evaluation is left after this date, students will not have a Non Attended (NA) as a final mark.
