This part is dedicated to different applications of natural products and the associated biosynthetic knowledge, in any field: use of a natural products in industry as raw materials, enzymatic applications, bioproduction or biological engineering, waste valorization from natural sources, etc. This part accounts for the 10% of the total qualification and will be evaluated in an optative Oral Presentation
Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
Do not present the work under any circumstances, or do not make the oral defense if the organizational conditions allow it.
Avaluació única:
1. First Part. NATURAL PRODUCT FAMILIES. Written text. 75% of total qualification.
2. Students must prepare personal work throughout the course and make an oral presentation followed by some oral questions (this parts are individual and optative)
The individual presentations can have one or two parts:
a) BIOSYNTHESIS. Student prepares a presentation on the biosynthesis of a natural product with mechanistic detail from the bioorganic point of view. The evaluation can be face-to-face (oral presentation) or virtual (pdf and videoconference). 15% of total qualification.
b)BIOAPPLICATIONS. Student prepares a presentation or work (depending on organizational conditions) of a case of application of natural products and the associated biosynthetic knowledge, in any field: use of a natural products in industry, enzymatic applications, bioproduction, of a natural product, waste utilization with natural products etc. The evaluation can be face-to-face (oral presentation) or virtual (pdf and videoconference).10% of total qualification.
