Activitats d'avaluació:

Students must achieve above 50% overall for the module but do not need to pass the individual components (2 exams and coursework) separately. For the unique evaluation, students must also score a 50% overall.

Students scoring less than 50% will still have the right to sit the basic competencies exam.

Please note that students opting to take the special evaluation must notify their decision to the lecturer before the 16th Oct 2020.

Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
Student not having taking part in any assessment component in the course, including the BCE, will be considered as 'No Presentat' (NP), and will be given that mark.

Avaluació única:
This pathway will consist of a single exam consisting of 3 clinical case studies. The student will be expected to (1) formulate likely and possible diagnoses based on the partial information given and fully justify their choice of diagnoses, (2) formulate a well-reasoned assessment plan that can be used to confirm or refute their diagnoses; (2) formulate a comprehensive evidence based treatment plan that covers the given aspects of the patients' biopsychosocial profile. This will constitute 70% of the module mark

In addition, they will be required to submit the spinal case study coursework assignment, which will constitute 30% of the module mark.

Learning outcomes:

- Knowing the physiological and structural changes in injuries of the locomotor system, amputations and burns occurring as a result of the application of Physiotherapy.
- Knowing the physiotherapy of diseases by identifying the manifestations appearing throughout the process.
- Identifying the changes in injuries of the locomotor system, amputations and burns produced as a consequence of Physiotherapy to adapt the treatment in each phase.
- Identifying the situation of the patient/user through a diagnosis of physiotherapy care, planning interventions and effectiveness evaluations in a cooperative work environment with other professionals in health sciences.
