Summary of the scientific career
Doctor in Biology (1996). Contracted professor with a PhD in Ecology with 4 six-year research periods positively evaluated (1996-2001, 2002-2007, 2008-2013, 2014-2019),
researcher at the Continental Aquatic Ecology Research Group (GRECO), of the Institute of Aquatic Ecology of the University of Girona. GRECO (http://www.udg.edu/greco)
is a large, interdisciplinary group with extensive experience in limnological research.
Professor Anna Vila Gispert is a specialist in continental fish ecology, with emphasis on phenotypic plasticity at the morphological and physiological level of native and invasive species.
She is essentially interested in ecology applied to inland fish conservation: understanding the ecology of invasive species, habitat degradation and water quality, and hydrological alterations.
He has published more than 40 articles in Science Citation Index journals, including articles in high-impact journals such as Diversity and Distributions, Reviews in Fish Biology,
Science of the Total Environment and Fisheries and one article among the most highly cited. His works have received more than 1714 citations and he has an h-index of 20.
To date he has supervised 3 doctoral theses, although he is now directing 2 more. She has been principal investigator of three national research projects (CGL2006-01755/BOS, CGL2010-15958/BOS,
CGL2016-80820-R) and has participated as a researcher in other national research projects (including REN2003-00477 and CGL2013-43822- R). He currently participates in two European research projects,
one of them as PI at the University of Girona. He has participated in competitions for the selection of professors and evaluation of doctoral theses in Spain and France.
natives i invasores.
altament citats.
