Thalia Ortiz Garcia (1997) graduated in Radiochemistry from the University of Havana (Cuba) in 2020, working in the research groups of Dr. Carlos Peniche and Dr. Manuel Rapado. She obtained the Master's Degree in Applied Chemistry at the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (Ecuador) in 2023, having worked on computational studies of nitrate adsorption with Dr. Silvia González. That same year he also obtained a Master's degree in Advanced Catalysis and Molecular Modeling at the University of Girona (Spain), working in Dr. Albert Poater's team to study the catalytic fixation of CO2 in epoxides to obtain cyclic carbonates. Since September 2023, she has been enrolled in the PhD program in Chemistry, working in the DiMoCat group in the development of DFT calculations to guide green chemistry experiments, under the supervision of Dr. Albert Poater, Dr. Montserrat Rodríguez and the Dr. Anna Pla-Quintana.
