BEFORE LEAVING YOUR COUNTRY
In order to be admitted by our University you must send us by fax or mail the following documentation:

Accommodation
The Universitat de Girona and the University Residence Hall (located in the Montilivi campus) has a special agreement in order to offer places at a special price for foreign students. If you are interested you must fill in the accommodation application formand send it to us by fax as soon as possible. The places will be honoured on the basis “first arrived firs served”.

Introductory course to the Catalan Language and Culture (with a value of 5 ECTS)
The Universitat de Girona organizes this introductory course to facilitate the students' integration into the university community and the city of Girona. The course takes place two weeks before the beginning of regular courses at the Faculties and you will have the opportunity to meet other Erasmus students there. We kindly ask you to make your best efforts to attend it. The course is free of charge for LLP/Erasmus students.

Arrival date:
We recommend the students for the first semester to arrive 8th September, in order to follow The Introductory course on catalan language and culture
Students coming to take subjects cannot arrive later than 30th September. Students coming to do projects or practicums may arrive later ONLY if there is an specific “late acceptance” . They must ask for that special permission to the host Faculty/School. E-mail comunications with a copy for this office will be enough.
When you know the exact date of your arrival you should inform us by e-mail.
ONCE IN GIRONA
Once in Girona, your first visit must be the Oficina de Relacions Exteriors where we will inform you about:
- Day and time of the first meeting with the teacher responsible for your Erasmus exchange
- Obtaining the sports facilities card
- Foreign language courses
- Leisure time and cultural activities aimed at foreign students.
- Registering and obtaining the UdG student body card necessary to borrow books from the library and to have access to the computer rooms.
IMPORTANT:
To get all this paperwork done, you must present the following papers at your arrival:
- Identity card or passport (+2 photocopies)
- European health insurance card (+1 photocopy)
- Erasmus nomination: a certificate from your home university stating that you have been selected as a Socrates/Erasmus student.
- 1 identity card size photo
For those students arriving 1st semester (september) there is a meeting where you can present all this papers and we inform you about your stay:

Place: Facultat de Lletres (Campus Barri Vell)
Hour: 10.30h
AT THE END OF YOUR STAY
At the end of your stay in the Universitat de Girona the Oficina de Relacions Exteriors will issue you a certificate of attendance for the whole period of your stay in Girona. You have to tell the Office as soon as you know the exact day of your departure. Then you can collect your certificate no earlier than 3 days before your departure.
