1. Define tourism as a system in order to illustrate the importance of partnerships and collaboration networks in tourism destinations. 2. Identify the relevant stakeholders in tourism destinations in order to design effective organizational network and clustering strategies 3. Assess the components of tourism cluster/s (attractions/activities/businesses) or networks in order to analyze the stage of cluster development and the geographical/spatial/economic features that have determined the pattern of linkages between different points of a cluster. 4. Design strategies for cluster development in a tourism destination in order to increase the competitiveness of its businesses and the wealth of the community. 5. Analyse the margins and benefits accruing to the different stakeholders from a tourism product in order to conduct a value chain analysis for a tourism destination 6. Use value chain analysis in order to design an improved pathway for utilizing tourism as a community benefiting / poverty alleviation tool. 7. Communication abilities and language skills. Students should be able to prepare written documents that are clear and concise, using the appropriate style for the intended audience, and prepare and deliver oral presentations that are clear, focused, well-structured, and delivered in a professional manner. Know how to represent the organization 8. Teamwork skills: social competence, cognitive and emotional empathy, and leadership practice. Students should be able to participate collaboratively and responsibly in teams and reflect on their own teamwork, and on the team’s processes and ability to achieve outcomes. 9. Ethical responsibility: Students will have a sound awareness of the ethical, social, cultural and environmental implications of the business practice.
