Syllabus
1. The Final Project should have the following structure:
Front Page
Abstract: summary of the project structured in: Background, Methods and Discussion. And Keywords.
Introduction/Background: Description of research question, reference studies that have been done directly on the research question of in a topic with similar characteristics. Knowledge Gap
Hypothesis and Objectives.
Methods: Study Design; Study Setting; How to obtain the Sample Size; Recruitment; Eligibility Criteria; Randomization, Blinding, Intervention (Study Group, Standard Care, Placebo or Control - use TIDIER Guidelines to describe the Intervention), Outcomes (define primary and Secondary outcomes); Assessments (when the outcomes will be assessed); Statistical Analysis; Ethics; Calendar, Limitations; Role of Investigators, Resources, Annexes, Refrences (VANCOUVER STYLE). SPIRIT guidelines -
Formal aspects will be considered for evaluation.
SPIRIT GUIDELINES or STROBE Guidelines should be followed, depending of study design.

Grading
Written Work: 60% of the total score.
Oral Defense: 30% of the total score.
Mentor Meetings:10% of the total score.
If after the oral defense, the Final project average (Written Work+Oral Defense+Mentor Evaluation)score is less than 5.0, student failed the subject.
Rules for project review:
- Fails after oral defense: the student should contact with the Committee President to schedule a meeting to review the project.
IMPORTANT: all mandatory requests should be followed by the students, otherwise, for each mandatory requirement not followed by the student, this will loose 10% (of each requirement)of the total score on the written work.
Specific criteria for the "No show" grade:
Students not attending to any of the evaluative components will be marked with 'Not attended'.

Minimum requirements to pass:
Minimum requirements are divided into two different options:
1) A minimum grade of 5.0 will be required to pass the subject - the average of the three components of the evaluation process.
Mentorship
Scenari 1: IN PERSON: Mentoring will be carried out in person in the enabled classrooms. Communication and interaction with students will be in person and using MOODLE tools (Notification Forum - MOODLE chat) and e-mail.
Scenari II: LOCKDOWN: Mentoring will be conducted virtually. Communication and interaction with students will take place virtually, throughout MOODLE tools:(Notification Forum - MOODLE chat), videoconferencing and email. ”

Remarks
FINAL PROJECT DELIVERY: Students must upload the FINAL PROJECT on Moodle, following the criteria stated by the teacher on the subject Guidelines.
Important: projects must be uploaded on Moodle within the time limit specified by the teacher on the subject guidelines. Projects uploaded out of this deadline will not be acepted and the student will have to retake the subject in the following academic year.
Learning outcomes:
- Identifying the different parts of a research project.
- Searching bibliographic references for the development of the research theoretical and methodological framework.
- Writing a research project by integrating theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as referring them scientifically.
- Defending the research project in an academic committee.

Design Amendment
Amendment of activities:
FINAL PROJECT DELIVERY: The Final Project delivery will be done exclusively ONLINE. Students will upload the project on Moodle, in PDF format, respecting the time and dates previously agreed.
Amendment of the assessment:
ORAL PRESENTATION: In the case of a lockdown scenario, the oral presentations will be done throughout online platforms.
In the case of scenario I - oral presentations will be done in person using the university facilities and respecting all the health policies.
Mentoring and communication:
Mentoring meetings with teacher: Mentoring meetings could be scheduled using online platforms, or in person, depending on the current health scenario.
