- Alemany per a Global Studies de nivell A2. Curs basat en temes generals, adaptat als estudis de Global Studies, mitjançant l'aprenentatge per tasques. Llenguatge específic i d'habilitats comunicatives. El nivell de sortida de l'assignatura és el A2 segons el Marc Europeu de Llengües. Es recomana disposar del nivell A1 per cursar aquesta assignatura.

1. <b>Choice and Offer</b>
Name items of clothing and give an opinion about them; express tastes, preferences, and evaluations; compare appearance and abilities; ask for someone else's opinion; ask for and offer help and advice in a shopping centre; express opinions about the characteristics of a tourist destination.
2. <b>Celebrations</b>
Ask for and give dates; talk about personal relationships and possessions; express opinions and reasons; ask for help; confirm or cancel an appointment in writing; read and write invitations; name holidays and celebrations; congratulate someone.
3. <b>Moving House </b>
Explain reasons; talk about experiences, narrate events; describe types of residence, ways of living, and circumstances; talk about family relationships and forms of cohabitation; understand and narrate experiences abroad; write and understand messages, including short professional phone messages.
4. <b>At Home</b>
Talk about the location of objects; describe the decoration; organize shared living arrangements; write and understand informational notes; understand and give information about a building of tourist interest; ask colleagues for something.

Weighting of written activities (writing at home, in-class writings) will vary.
Writings at home will have to be handed in twice. Writings have to be students' own work. The use of artificial intelligence (AI) or machine translation (MT) to write texts is NOT allowed. However, dictionaries, AI and MT may be used to look up words or expressions for writings at home.
A minimum score of 5 must be achieved in this skill. |

Qualificació
Students are expected to follow Continuous Assessment (CA).
Continuous Assessment: 100 points
Speaking: 20 points: presentations, recordings, tutorials, and attendance. 100% attendance in class is expected.
Writing: 20 points: writings inside and outside the classroom, and their correction.
Listening: 20 points: listenings inside and outside the classroom.
Reading: 20 points: Reading inside and outside the classroom.
Use of German: 20 points: use of German inside and outside the classroom.
To pass the subject, the student must obtain a minimum of 50 points out of the possible 100 in each category.
Each of these parts may be retaken on the scheduled dates for the resit exam.
In the event a student fails one or more skills, after averaging, the highest possible mark given will be a 4/10.
Grading Criteria for single-session evaluation
The single-session evaluation is an exceptional assessment system and must be explicitly requested, and the Faculty needs to give its approval.
For the single assessment, the student must complete the following exam tests on the specified days and times (see Exam and Retake Calendar).
Single-session Assessment Exam: 100 points
Students granted Avaluació Única by the Faculty of Tourism will be evaluated through a 5-part exam calculated as follows:
Speaking: 20 points
Writing: 20 points
Listening: 20 points
Reading: 20 points
Use of German: 20 points
Students must pass each of the 5 areas with a minimum mark of 5/10.
Any student who fails one or more parts of the Avaluació Única Test can retake the failed part(s) on the scheduled dates for the resit exam (Examen de Recuperació) to reattempt to pass the course.
In the event a student fails one or more skills, after averaging, the highest possible mark given will be a 4/10.
Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
Students who have done neither Continuous Evaluation nor the single-session evaluation will receive the mark "No presentat".
Avaluació única:
Students who, for justified reasons, cannot attend classes must request to be assessed by single-session evaluation (Avaluació Única) at the Tourism Faculty's Academic Office within the deadlines established at the beginning of the semester. The Faculty must give its approval.

Requisits mínims per aprovar:
To pass the course, the student has to achieve a minimum of 5 in each of the five categories: Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening and use of German, and a minimum of 5 overall.

In the event that a modification is needed due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., pandemic):
During the scheduled class hours, with the help of a video conferencing tool and supported by other applications, classes will be conducted with student interaction.
Students must have the textbook. Additional documentation and resources will be uploaded to Moodle.
A brief summary of the topics covered will be provided through the means decided by the teaching staff.

The assessment activities planned in the course design will be maintained as much as possible, with the understanding that some evaluations may take place synchronously, but not in-person, if necessary.
