Qualificació
As a general rule, students follow the Continuous Assessment (CA) system.
The continuous assessment grade is distributed as follows:
• Continuous Assessment:
Listening comprehension
Oral expression and participation
Reading comprehension
Written expression
Linguistic competence (vocabulary and syntax)
For each competency:
the results of quizzes, lessons, and workbook activities will account for 10% of the final continuous assessment grade;
the results of continuous assessment tests will account for 10% of the final continuous assessment grade;
the results of the midterm assessment will account for 30% of the final continuous assessment grade;
the results of the final assessment will account for 50% of the final continuous assessment grade.
To pass the course, students must obtain a minimum average score of 5/10 in each competency.
Students who obtain less than 5/10 in any of the five competencies will fail the course. Each component may be retaken according to the examination schedule established by the Faculty of Tourism.
If one or more competencies are failed, the maximum final grade recorded on the transcript will be 4/10.
• Single Assessment: students must sit the assessments on the dates and at the times established in the examination calendar of the Faculty of Tourism (see also the programme du cours on Moodle).
The assessment consists of five competencies:
Listening comprehension
Oral expression
Reading comprehension

Linguistic competence (vocabulary and syntax)
Assessment criteria for the single assessment examination:
Students who obtain less than 5/10 in any of the five competencies will fail the course. Each component may be retaken according to the examination schedule established by the Faculty of Tourism.

Verification of Authorship
In cases where teaching staff have doubts regarding the authorship of any assessment activity, the student may be required to attend a face-to-face or synchronous interview (which may be recorded) in order to verify the student’s knowledge and competencies and ensure authorship of the assessment.
