13. Selected applications of natural products associated to biosynthetic knowledge. Examples of use a natural products in industry, enzymatic applications, bioproductions, etc.
Students must prepare personal work throughout the course and make a short oral presentation followed by some oral questions.
The qualifications of the work are grouped into three parts:
1. First Part. NATURAL PRODUCT FAMILIES. Its realization leads to obtain a maximum qualification of 6. For each NP family studied, following the provided template, the student must search and provide an example and submit the corresponding questionnaire in pdf within three working days after having closed the study of the topic.
2. Part Two. BIOSYNTHESIS. This part leads to obtain a maximum qualification of 8.5. The student prepares a presentation on the biosynthesis of a natural product with mechanistic detail from the bioorganic point of view.
3. Part Three. BIOAPPLICATIONS. This part leads to obtain a maximum qualification of 10 with possible MH mention. Student prepares a presentation or work (depending on organizational conditions) of a case of application of natural products and the associated biosynthetic knowledge, in any field: use of a natural products in industry, enzymatic applications, bioproduction, of a natural product, waste utilization with natural products etc.
Criteris específics de la nota «No Presentat»:
Do not present the work under any circumstances, or do not make the oral defense if the organizational conditions allow it.
Avaluació única:
Students must prepare personal work throughout the course and make a short oral presentation followed by some oral questions.
The qualifications of the work are grouped into three parts:
1. First Part. NATURAL PRODUCT FAMILIES. Its realization leads to obtain a maximum qualification of 6. For each NP family studied, according tothe provided template, the student must search and provide a natural product example. 10 examples in total.
2. Part Two. BIOSYNTHESIS. This part leads to obtain a maximum qualification of 8.5 without MH mention. The student prepares a presentation on the biosynthesis of a natural product with mechanistic detail from the bioorganic point of view. The evaluation can be face-to-face (oral presentation) or virtual (pdf and videoconference).
3. Part Three. BIOAPPLICATIONS. This part leads to obtain a maximum qualification of 10 with MH mention. Student prepares a presentation or work (depending on organizational conditions) of a case of application of natural products and the associated biosynthetic knowledge, in any field: use of a natural products in industry, enzymatic applications, bioproduction, of a natural product, waste utilization with natural products etc. The evaluation can be face-to-face (oral presentation) or virtual (pdf and videoconference).
Under this modality, evaluation is unique, with a total qualification representing 100% of it.
