PhD from the University of Girona, with the doctoral dissertation “L'assentament de la immigració andalusa a Olot durant el franquisme (1940–1975): trajectòries i mobilitat social de la immigració andalusa i els seus descendents” [http://hdl.handle.net/10803/369311]. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a Diploma in Public Management and Administration from Pompeu Fabra University. Between 2003 and 2017, he worked at the Social Action Consortium of La Garrotxa as head of the Citizenship and Immigration Area, as well as in the planning and evaluation of social services. A lecturer at the University of Girona since 2011, he served as coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work between 2020 and 2026. His main research areas include: immigration, citizenship and diversity; social policies and the welfare state; social services; democracy and participation. He has been a visiting researcher at the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society at the University of Oxford.
