Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona (2008) and specialist in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases, he works at the Hospital Universitari de Girona Dr. Josep Trueta, where he leads the pediatric infections unit, with a special focus on congenital and neonatal infections. Associate Professor at the University of Girona since 2016, he founded and coordinates the National Network on Congenital Toxoplasmosis (REIV-TOXO). He participates as a researcher in several national and international networks on congenital infections and pediatric HIV. He is currently finalizing his doctoral thesis on the epidemiology and screening of congenital toxoplasmosis in Spain.
